Campanula Dwarf Series

The Dwarf Campanula Series features versatile, low-maintenance perennials that are staples in cottage and rock gardens. These varieties are generally compact and mounding, though some (C. poscharskyana) can be more spreading and trailing. They are distinguished by their abundant floral display, where masses of bell- or cup-shaped flowers almost entirely cover the neat basal foliage from early summer through early fall. The flowers typically face upwards or outwards and are available in crisp white, various shades of blue, and rich purple/lavender hues.

• Height: Typically 4–10 inches (10–25 cm) tall.
• Habit: Compact, mounding, or trailing groundcover.
• Exposure: Thrives in full sun to partial shade; afternoon shade is beneficial in hotter climates.
• Soil: Prefers rich, consistently moist, well-drained soil and generally favors neutral to slightly alkaline pH levels.
• Uses: Excellent for rock gardens, containers, hanging baskets, wall crevices, and as effective, weed-suppressing groundcover or border edging.
• Maintenance: Easy to grow, deer and rabbit resistant, and attracts pollinators like bees and butterflies. Regular deadheading of spent blooms is recommended to encourage continuous flowering throughout the season.
